Boracay iReport helps you send reports to Malay Police. Please use it responsibly and put your safety first.
About the service
Reports submitted through Boracay iReport are handled by Malay Municipal Police Station. Marc Rainier R. Fernandez, Boracay iReport Owner and Developer, provides the technology and support. These terms apply when you use the service or submit a report.
If someone is in immediate danger
Call 911 or use the Malay Police Station call option. Do not rely on an online report for an immediate response.
The app can open your device’s dialer. A call button does not itself confirm that a call connected, send your completed report or guarantee that police received your location. Telephone and mobile-data charges may apply.
Report honestly
Describe what you know as accurately as you can. If you are unsure, say so. Distinguish what you personally saw from what someone told you. You do not need to investigate or prove an offence before reporting a genuine concern.
Intentionally submitting false or fabricated reports, making knowingly false accusations, or providing fabricated evidence is strictly prohibited. Anyone responsible may be investigated and, where the conduct constitutes a criminal offence, prosecuted to the full extent of Philippine law. Upon conviction, penalties may include imprisonment, fines, or both, depending on the applicable offence.
Do not impersonate someone, misleadingly alter supporting material, harass people, send spam or try to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service. Misuse may also lead to access restrictions or referral to the appropriate authorities.
Protect yourself and other people
Do not approach a suspected offender or put yourself at risk to obtain details or photos. Provide only information relevant to the incident and material you may lawfully share with police.
Do not upload sexual images of children or non-consensual intimate images through this general reporting form. Describe the concern and ask police how to provide sensitive evidence safely. Do not circulate such material.
Where asked, tell police whether it is safe to call you. Take care when using a shared device or phone number; notifications, messages and call history may be visible to someone else.
What submission means
A confirmation or reference number means the system accepted your report for delivery through the reporting workflow. It does not confirm that an officer has read it, that an officer has been dispatched, or that a formal case or police record has been created.
Police may need to verify details, contact you or ask you to complete further procedures. Response and follow-up depend on the circumstances and available resources. No particular response time or outcome is promised.
Check the confirmation screen to see how many photos were attached. A report may be submitted without every selected photo. If delivery is uncertain, follow the app’s retry instructions or contact the station with your reference number if available.
Your information and uploaded material
The Privacy Notice explains how personal information is handled. Submitting a report does not transfer ownership of your photos or other material. To handle the report, the service and authorized recipients may store, copy, display and share that material to the extent permitted by law and necessary for the purposes described in the notice. This does not authorize advertising or unrelated publication.
Do not share private photo links or another person’s report details unnecessarily. Contact Malay Municipal Police Station at [email protected] or (0998) 598 6122 if information needs correction or you have a privacy concern.
Availability and limitations
Internet connections, location services, maps, uploads and notification systems can fail or be inaccurate. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, security or technical reasons. Use another appropriate reporting channel if this service is unavailable.
Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies available under Philippine law, excuses obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits the legal duties of police or the service operator.
Changes and applicable law
We may update these terms as the service changes. The revised terms will show their effective date. Material changes will be brought to your attention where required. Changes will not retroactively authorize unrelated uses of information already collected.
These terms are governed by Philippine law. Questions about the service may be directed to Malay Municipal Police Station at [email protected] or (0998) 598 6122.

Your report helps Malay Police understand what happened and where help is needed. This notice explains what information is collected, who receives it and your choices.
Who is responsible
Malay Municipal Police Station is responsible for the personal information handled through Boracay iReport. Reports are sent to Malay Municipal Police Station. Marc Rainier R. Fernandez, Boracay iReport Owner and Developer, provides the technology and support.
For privacy questions or requests, contact Malay Municipal Police Station at [email protected] or (0998) 598 6122.
What we collect
Your report: its category, what happened, when and where it happened, a nearby landmark, answers to the questions shown, and any information you provide about people involved. This may include sensitive information about victims, children, health, violence or alleged offences.
Contact information: your name, contact number and any email address you provide.
Location: your device’s location, its reported accuracy and capture time, and the incident location. Your current location is included even if you report an incident somewhere else.
Photos you choose: the image, filename, file type, size, upload time and a digital fingerprint used to check the file. Photos may retain embedded information, such as when or where they were taken.
Technical information: your IP address, network provider, country inferred from the connection, browser and device information, selected language, submission time, security-check results and identifiers used to handle uploads and retries. The website also uses service-usage and performance measurements.
When collection starts
Website and security providers receive connection information when you open or use the service.
After you select a report category, the app asks your browser for location access. If permitted, it updates the location while the page remains active and uses Mapbox to obtain place names. Location processing can therefore happen before you submit. The current reporting flow requires device location access; you can decline or revoke it in your browser settings, but you will be unable to complete that flow without an available location.
Removing a photo requests cancellation and removal from temporary storage. Closing the page does not instantly delete a photo already uploaded.
Why we use the information
We use it to deliver your report to police, help them understand and assess the incident, identify locations, follow up, coordinate a response and maintain relevant records. Technical information also supports delivery, security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.
Who receives it
Reports are provided to Malay Police for handling. Information may be shared with other authorized responders or public authorities when necessary for the incident or required by law.
How long information is kept
In the current app, working copies of reports and attached photos become eligible for cleanup after 30 days. Unsubmitted photos become eligible after 24 hours. Officer access records become eligible after one year. Cleanup currently runs following successful report deliveries, so deletion can occur later than those thresholds.
These rules do not automatically delete copies in email, report-delivery services, device notifications, backups or official police records.
Your choices and rights
Provide only information relevant to the incident. Avoid including unrelated identity documents, account credentials or private information about other people.
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access or correct your personal information, object to certain uses, request blocking or deletion, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, and request a portable copy where that right applies. You may also seek remedies available under law and raise a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
Contact the privacy officer above and include your report reference if available. We may need to verify your identity or authority before releasing or changing information. Some requests may be limited by lawful investigation or records requirements, or the rights and safety of other people. We will explain any applicable restriction.
